When Evelyn contacted me to photograph her grandchildren who would all be in town, I absolutely fell in love with the idea! Not into
extended family pictures, or possibly not everyone will be there? Consider a
cousins/grandkids photography session instead! I had so much fun photographing these kids! Evelyn even got them the cutest coordinating outfits to wear, they were styled so well.
We were originally supposed to photograph these at a park in Salt Lake, but it was pouring rain, and rescheduling wasn't an option since her grandkids were from out of town. They were all staying in
Park City, Utah so we drove to Rotary Park, a park I had shot at once before and thought it could work.
After we arrived, we sat in the car for at least 15 minutes, just hoping it would stop raining. And guess what! It stopped! We were all so relieved! The sun even poked out for a few minutes. This little grassy hill with the aspens in the back had a few wild flowers and it was every photographers dream. I think this location ended up matching the vibe of their outfits way better than the original park we were going to go to.
During this session, I spent about 5 minutes with each child to get lots of different types of pictures of just them. Then we did each sibling group, an all girls and all boys shot, and of course all of them together. We did a mix of standing, walking and sitting to give Evelyn lots of choices to print for her home.
